lkparis: Elena Kuznetsova is a self-taught photographer born in the Ukraine. Her vision and sensitivity come from an extended knowledge of various areas of the photographic medium having worked as a successful Model and Hair Stylist for several years. Elena creates images that are theatrical but provide an intimate awareness of the individual’s character. The person in her lens whether fashion model, a musician on a guarded stage, or a simple child, allows the viewer to examine and befriend them almost immediately. By her own admission this beauty she witnesses is the motivating factor in her photography. “Beauty is something that effects not just our eyes, but our minds, and our hearts. Why forms of it touch some more than others is that question I continually ask myself. But regardless I am always thankful for having seen and felt it.”
